About My Turner Family
This Website & Home Page is dedicated to my Father Jesse Cawthon Turner & my Mother Euallie Marie Beatty. Dad worked on his genealogy for nearly fifty years, did it the hard way by driving to the many places all over the country, visiting court houses and manually looking through the deed, will, and census books. There were no computers in his day. I picked it up and have worked nearly thirty years. The longer I live, the more I realize how much knowledge he had. I have tried to recount many of the stories he told, especially his experience of seeing his first automobile, `coming down that wagon road, a big cloud of dust, the dangest clatter you ever heard, and there were no mules or horses pulling it`. I do agree with him, that he lived through the greatest changes man has ever seen or will see. from the invention of the automobile, telephone, radio to landing a man on the moon and bringing him safely home. I wish that my father and my cousin, Margery Olive Turner Swinton of Washington D.C.had lived to see this work at this point they both contributed so much to it. Thank you both. Fred B.
